Student Code of Conduct

At Modern High School, we maintain high standards of behavior to ensure a safe and productive learning environment for all.

Code of Conduct for Students

  • Misbehaviour towards teachers or any other employee of the school
  • Intentional disturbance of classes
  • Absence from classes without permission
  • Bullying or intimidation of others
  • Defacing school walls, furniture, toilets, etc.
  • Disobeying lawful orders of the teacher or principal
  • Promoting communal or caste feelings among students
  • Indulging in any form of physical violence
  • Bringing unauthorized persons or articles to school
  • Eve-teasing or misconduct towards students
  • Damaging or disfiguring school property
  • Any form of vandalism including unauthorized books

Consequences of Misconduct

  • Oral/Written Warning: Given to student and parents based on misconduct severity.
  • Suspension: Temporary removal from classes/school.
  • Recovery of Loss: For damages to school property.
  • Transfer Certificate: May be issued in serious/repetitive cases.
  • Expulsion: Permanent removal from the school.
  • Penalty: Fine of Rs. 100/- for acts like wall writing or damaging property.

General Instructions for Students

  1. Converse in English; encourage peers too.
  2. Maintain good conduct, honesty, and sincerity.
  3. Read newspapers, journals, and magazines regularly.
  4. Contribute writings, drawings, articles to publications.
  5. Maintain a balanced schedule for study and play.
  6. Participate actively in all school activities.
  7. Practice yogic exercises and meditation.
  8. Keep books and personal belongings neatly organized.
  9. Follow teachers' corrective measures diligently.
  10. Identify and develop talents and interests relentlessly.

General Rules for Students

  • Be punctual; maintain 100% attendance.
  • Carry the school diary daily; attend assemblies.
  • Wear neat, approved uniform; no relaxation allowed.
  • Respect school property; vandalism invites penalty.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper waste disposal.
  • Respect teachers and elders; behave courteously.
  • Sincere efforts expected in all examinations.
  • Unauthorized items like comics, electronics prohibited.
  • Maintain discipline on buses and in school.
  • Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside school premises.
  • Follow leave and absence rules meticulously.
  • Escorted students must wait within the premises until escort arrives.
  • Attend PTMs accompanied by parents.
